The free Underkeep demo on Steam includes the starting area, one dungeon and a selection of hero classes. It lets you try the grid-based movement and tactical turn-based combat before buying the full game.
What the demo can tell you
Create a party and use the sample to see whether the pace of exploration, navigating on a grid and managing turns suits you. The official page says it is intended to show the foundations and feel of the game.
What it cannot tell you
The demo is a limited slice, not a complete preview of all areas or classes. The developer said in September 2026 that it had updated the demo with most core features, but its own store page still describes a limited selection of content. Avoid assuming that demo balance, every ability or a particular party recommendation is identical to the release version.
